Child and Infant Sleep Care
Expert Child and Infant Sleep Therapists
At Sleepyhead Clinic, we understand how vital quality sleep is for your family’s well-being. When children sleep well, they thrive physically, emotionally, and developmentally. When parents sleep well, they feel better equipped to manage the joys and challenges of parenthood. Whether you’re a new parent or navigating sleep struggles with toddlers or older children, we provide expert guidance and support tailored to your unique situation.
Many parents we work with hear that sleep challenges are simply “part of being a baby.” While infant sleep naturally involves frequent waking, there’s a difference between normal patterns and issues like waking every 30 minutes or consistent signs of discomfort.
These struggles can affect the whole family’s mental and physical health, particularly that of mothers, who often shoulder the brunt of sleep deprivation. Our role is to help you recognise when something more is going on, understand your child’s needs, and implement practical, effective strategies to address these challenges.
Sleep is the foundation of healthy development for children, and restorative sleep is essential for parents. In today’s world, where parents juggle so many demands, it’s more important than ever to have a strong support system.
Founded by Sleep Expert, Stephanie Romiszewski, the Sleepyhead Clinic offers a safe, understanding space where parents feel heard, empowered, and respected.

Carl Stevenson2024-08-08 Stephanie provided an online workshop for our corporate finance focussed team at Deloitte. The way she combined deep technical knowledge, with practical methods of implementation through clear communications was extremely useful. I would 100% recommend to any corporate teams looking to arrange a session to start to approach the topic of sleep, as part of a wider commitment to wellbeing. Martin Godfrey2024-06-27 Update: one year on from starting the sleep course - my sleep pattern remains fantastic --------- The sleep I now get is much better quality (and hence much more restorative) because I've been educated in the realities of sleep. I cannot thank Helen and Stephanie enough for the above - it's genuinely life changing. Sarah Deacon2024-05-31 Working with Stephanie over the last couple of months has been a very positive experience. I have learned so much & feel more in control of my sleep, which means I am less anxious and stressed going to bed. I have also learned that not every nights sleep will be perfect from now on, but this is OK too. I have so many tools to hand to help me feel more positive. Thank you. If you have been struggling with poor sleep for many years, you won't regret signing up to this course & changing habits forever. Frank Ellis2024-03-21 Stephanie and sleepyheads completely resolved my severe insomnia issue last summer within weeks - simple advice which cut through all the rubbish posted on the internet about getting a good nights sleep / insomnia issues - I basically had 7 weeks without natural sleep worrying about a knee replacement and the affects on my mobility which was compounded by the insomnia - Stephanie helped me regain all natural sleep (without tablets ) and the last 6 months back to regular 7/8 hours a night quality sleep - thoroughly recommend her course and great source of help / empathy and understanding of the science of sleep - a game changer Connor Phillips2024-03-11 Stephanie has been fantastic! Throughout the programme, I have felt fully supported, heard, at ease and most importantly it has been effective! Having suffered with chronic insomnia since my early teens, I have previously tried to address the issue on my own and have sought the help of other experts, as well as attempting to address my insomnia on my own etc. You name it, I've tried it! During the course with Stephanie, I learnt so much and genuinely believed in the programme, which was further strengthened and reinforced as the results followed. My sleep drive has been restored (feeling very sleep on a night again is a great feeling) and my overall sleep and mindset has improved drastically. I never thought I'd be the sort of person to be getting up at 06:30 each day, working out at that hour and actually enjoying it! Touching base with Stephanie each week provided me with the invaluable opportunity to seek reassurance/clarity and allowed Stephanie to tweak and personalise my programme when necessary, based on my progression. I now have the tools, confidence and resources to manage my sleep going forward! Thanks a bunch, Stephanie! :) The Time Traveller2021-09-22 Absolutely wonderful experience. I have had a pretty nasty sleep issue for 9 years. I have consulted sleep clinicians and doctors etc to help me to deal with this problem, and nothing has really stuck. I then signed on for the Sleepyhead Clinic Programme with Stephanie. From the get go I made improvements. Once I understand a process and why I need to do things in a certain way, I then become committed. Stephanie took the time to explain why the steps where necessary and once I understood them I was on-board. My sleep over the 5 week programme dramatically improved and is still good. I needed someone not to let me off the hook, (I can be a really tricky client and have often talked experts in to letting me do what I want to do, not what I should do!!). Stephanie kept me on the programme and didn't let me stray from it. I can’t recommend Stephanie and the Sleepyhead Clinic enough. Also Emma in the Sleepyhead office is lovely. Kim Hawkins2020-11-11 Have suffered increasingly with broken sleep , I accessed the sleepyhead clinic. The first few weeks were challenging but the results are worth it. I now have techniques that I can go back to if needed to ensure that I sleep well. It has made a huge difference thankyou . Ruan Evans2020-09-18 Stephanie had an instant impact on my sleeping problems. As a student I started suffering from insomnia 3 years ago and I was quick to resort to what I thought were quick remedies... The programme completely altered my perceptions on sleep, gave me a greater understanding than I could have even believed there was, and as a result allowed me to regain control of my sleep. Every so often I do struggle to get to sleep, just like everyone else does from time to time. But I now have long term strategies and a routine to ensure this is simply an anomaly and not a continuous issue. Ultimately this has had a huge positive impact on my mental health, re-finding my motivation and drive and to not feel as if my sleep is a burden to me. Massive thanks once again, Stephanie! Grace Le Mercier2019-06-14 Back in February of this year, I started the Stephanie’s DIY online course to see if I could fix my sleep problems. I’ve had problems with my sleep for the last 15 years or so – it comes and goes but last year it was lasting longer and longer until I felt like I wasn’t sleeping at all. And when I am having problems I find I can’t get to sleep and I’ll be awake til 2 in the morning trying. With a 6.30am alarm, I was getting somewhere between 4 and 5 hours sleep a night. I was tired all the time, and felt irritable and easily annoyed with people. And it wasn’t their fault, I was just so intensely tired that I was reacting in ways I didn’t when I wasn’t tired. I was miserable too, and lonely. Sleep problems can be really isolating. And at 2am it really feels like you are the only person on the planet who isn’t asleep. I tried so many things – calming teas, cutting out caffeine, warm baths, sleep masks. None of it worked, so I decided to do the course. I was sceptical about it at first, considering its online. I wasn’t sure how an online course could fix my sleep problems. But I was so surprised and delighted with the results. It is hard work, because you have to take responsibility and put in the effort to make it work (although I suppose you’d have to do that with a face to face course anyway!). And the course is tough, and some of it is counter-intuitive. But Stephanie’s support through the videos is great, and I really felt like she understood what I was going through, and I no longer felt alone in my problem. She clearly explained what to expect, and how I could get the most out of the course. Since doing the course, I am now regularly getting seven hours of sleep a night. Which for me, is incredible. I’m waking up refreshed and I’m more energetic. I feel happier, and I’m not as easily annoyed. I still do sometimes take longer to get to sleep, or sleep in. But more often than not, that’s my choice, and it’s what most people with a normal sleep pattern do. I can’t recommend Stephanie's DIY online course enough – as someone who has really struggled with sleeping, it’s been life-changing. It’s so worth the effort, and you won’t regret it! Joseph Pannell2019-04-02 I have had insomnia since I was about 14, sometimes I would go through severe bouts where I thought I had only slept for 1 or two hours a night. I have tried all the supplements , loads of different rituals and would take Zopiclone frequently, my sleep schedule was also really erratic, I would sleep really late on the weekends as some sleep at the wrong time I felt was better than none. I finished my 8 week course today and have slept better the last 8 weeks than I have since I was 14, the sleep restriction part is very hard but astoundingly effective, within 3 weeks I found myself looking forward to bed rather than fearing it and some nights have fallen asleep in under 5 minutes. My mindset is also completely different, I no longer worry or obsess about sleep, in fact I barely think about it all any more in the day. I have also become a morning person which I have always wanted to be, and for the past couple of weeks I havent taken any tablets. In the future I feel confident that if sleep does ever become consistently poor again I have loads of strategies to overcome it so it's not something that concerns me. Stephanie is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and supportive and clearly loves doing something so important. Sleeping well I feel I can take on the world, or at least a reasonable stretch of it. Sleep i have discovered is very moreish, I highly recommend it!
